Cookie policy
This site sets no cookies. It keeps three entries in your browser's local storage, all of them there to record and honour the cookie choice you were asked to make. That is the whole list, and this page shows it in full.

The short version
There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers on this site. Nothing follows you to another website. The consent panel exists because we ask before storing anything at all, and because your answer has to be recorded somewhere for it to mean anything.
If you refuse everything, the site works exactly as it does if you accept everything. Refusing costs you nothing, which is the test of whether a consent request is honest.
What we store, exactly
Three entries, all first-party, all written by the consent panel and by nothing else.

Local storage has no expiry date of its own, which is why the last column says what it says: these entries stay until you clear them, or until you withdraw your choice using the link in the footer, which clears them.
Our own analytics
We would rather say this plainly than let you find it in the page source: this site is measured. Almost every site is, and pretending otherwise is not a position we want to defend. What we will say is whose it is and what it is for.
The tracker is ours. We built it, and it runs on our own system at
crm.groovymark.com — not on Google Analytics and not on an advertising
network. Nobody else receives the data,
it is not sold, and it is not handed to a data broker. It records the pages you look at,
the site you came from, your screen size and the campaign tags on the link you followed.
It does not record your name or your email address, and it is not joined to any enquiry
you send us.
We use it for two things: working out which pages and which campaigns are worth the money, and finding the parts of the site that are not doing their job. It is not used to follow you across other websites, and it does not build an advertising profile of you.

Why there are no cookies
The site is static pages plus one form endpoint. There is no login, no session, no basket and no server-side state to tie a cookie to, so a cookie would have nothing to carry. Local storage does the one job that is needed — remembering your answer on your own device — without being sent to a server on every request the way a cookie is.
The law here does not turn on the word “cookie”. The ePrivacy rules cover storing information on your device or reading information already stored there, whatever the mechanism, so local storage is treated exactly the same way and this page exists for the same reason a cookie policy would.
The four categories
The consent panel offers four categories because that is what our consent records track. We would rather show you all four and tell you plainly that three of them are empty than quietly hide them and add things later without asking.
- Strictly necessary — In use. The three entries above. They exist because you were asked a question and we have to honour the answer and be able to show that we asked. This category cannot be switched off, and under the ePrivacy rules it does not require consent.
- Analytics — In use. Our own measurement, described in full above. It runs on every visit while the site is new and we are using the numbers to decide what to build and where to spend. This panel does not offer a switch for it today, because a switch we ignored would be worse than none.
- Functional — Nothing behind it. Would remember preferences such as a chosen view or a dismissed message between visits. Nothing on this site does that today.
- Marketing — Nothing behind it. Would build an advertising or retargeting profile. We do not do this, we do not run advertising pixels, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers.
If we ever put something behind analytics, functional or marketing, your stored answer for that category is what decides whether it runs, and we will update this page before it goes live rather than after.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Withdrawing has to be as easy as consenting, so there is one control and it does both. Cookie settings in the footer of every page reopens the panel with your current choice loaded, and you can change it as often as you like.
To go further and have the record itself erased, use the same panel or write to privacy@groovymark.com. Erasure clears the entries that record your choice and deletes the consent record we hold. The reference is kept only if we cannot reach our own system to delete that record, so the erasure can be retried. You will be asked again on your next visit, because from our side there is no longer any record that you were asked.
Where the record goes
Your choice is saved on your device first, so it is honoured even if nothing else
works. A copy is then sent to our own system at
crm.groovymark.com, which we run ourselves — it is not a third-party
consent vendor, and the record is not shared with anyone.
That copy is what lets us show, if we are ever asked to, that consent was requested and what was chosen. Alongside your choice it records the date, your browser, your operating system and whether you were on a phone, tablet or desktop. It does not record your name or your email address, and it is not joined to any enquiry you send us through the contact form.
The lawful basis for keeping that record is our legitimate interest in being able to demonstrate compliance, and it is covered in full by the privacy notice.
Controls in your browser
You do not have to take our word for any of this. Open your browser's developer tools, look under Application or Storage, and you will see the three entries above and nothing else. Clearing site data for this domain removes them, and the panel will ask again on your next visit.
Browser settings that block cookies and site data will also block these entries. The site is built to work without them: the only consequence is that the consent panel cannot remember your answer, so it appears each time.
Changes to this policy
This page changes when what we store changes, on the same day it changes. The stamp at the top is the version: this one was last updated on .
If we add anything that stores data on your device, your existing consent does not carry over to it. We will ask again for the category it falls under.
